We want you to get the care you deserve.

Our mission & values.

To provide compassionate and inclusive menstrual health care that honours the dignity, autonomy, and mana of every person we serve. Grounded in our values, we strive to create a safe and welcoming space where clients can feel empowered and supported to live their best lives. We are committed to fostering strong relationships with our service users, our community, other health professionals, and to providing care that is holistic.

We recognise the pursuit of menstrual health is an ongoing journey, one that requires a holistic approach that takes into account the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person's life. We are working to break down the barriers that have long prevented people from accessing the care and support they need.

  • This value embodies Hekate's commitment to expanding our understanding, learning, growing, and evolving our health knowledge. We are working towards improving the accessibility of health education to communities.

  • This value is about having considered authentic communication. It’s important to us that we communicate in a way that is mana enhancing and respectful. We strive to be considered and authentic in all that we do and say.

  • This value is about self-determination, autonomy, and sovereignty, emphasising the importance of self-agency. Individuals should be able to make well-informed decisions about their health and well-being, while being respected for their right to choose. Ultimately, it empowers people to take control of their own lives.

  • This value is about showing respect, kindness, and hospitality to others.

At Hekate we strive to provide a welcoming and empowering environment that promotes respect, kindness, and autonomy for every individual seeking menstrual health services at Hekate Clinic.

  • Kaitiakitanga is a core value at Hekate Clinic, embodying our commitment to being responsible guardians of the environment and its resources. We strive to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices in all aspects of our operations and mindfully choose sustainable herbal medicine sources. We choose to work with herbal suppliers who wherever possible aim to source organically grown and wildcrafted herbs, and who work with growers to help cultivate endangered species and protect knowledge of growing, harvesting and storage practices.

  • This value is about inclusivity and unity as well as a celebration of diversity and uniqueness.
